Meet The Team

Dr. Nicole Ratajczyk is a small animal Veterinarian and the owner of Tri Town Veterinary Hospital and Paws Avenue NY. Dr. Ratajczyk graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and has been practicing Veterinary medicine locally. 

Dr. Ratajczyk was born and raised here in Elma, NY and has worked in various roles in the industry since she was 17. She currently lives in Elma with her three children. She has a passion for poodles and currently is involved with both showing and rescuing the breed. She is a huge Bills fan and in her free time enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her kids. 

Dr. Ratajczyk is very active in the community working with local rescues and the Erie County SPCA, as well as helping at the local emergency hospitals when needed. She also serves on the board of the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society.

Lexi is one of our original technicians and has been with us since we opened in 2019 and has been here ever since! She graduated from Kenmore East High School in 2015 and was lucky enough to go to Harkness BOCES for 2 years and studied animal science to get her foot in the door for this career. She then studied at Medaille where she got her Associates degree in Science and received her veterinary technician license in 2019. In her free time she likes to play and coach ice hockey, read, travel, and take her dog Rocky on adventures.

Heather received her degree from Medaille College. She has been working with Dr. Ratajczyk since 2019. She splits her time between being a technician and grooming at Paws Avenue NY. Heather resides in Angola with her husband Jordan, son Henry, their 2 cats - Gibson and Arya,  a snake named Gerald and some fish. She just recently lost her heart dog Jack to lymphoma but her family is looking forward to adding a Boxer puppy to their family soon. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, watching Henry play travel hockey and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. Go Bills!

Nicole, more affectionately referred to as Tech Nicole, received her BS in Zoology from SUNY Oswego, as well as a Bachelor’s and Associate's degrees in Veterinary Technology from Medaille. She has been working with animals for 10 years, and as a LVT for 5. She has a puppy mill rescued Maltese named Squish, who can often be found behind the reception desk! She also has a tortoise named Honey, who she’s had since she was 13 years old. Animals have always been her passion and she looks forward to helping more animals in the future. 

Alex is our newest technician, although she has been with the practice since May 2022. She graduated from Medaille in 2022. She first did an internship for her degree from Medaille College with us, and then after she graduated she started as a Veterinary Assistant and then became a technician with us in early Fall 2023. She has a 3 year old German Shepherd, and is obsessed with pugs. She is originally from Chicago and moved to Buffalo as a teenager, which she has called home ever since.

Ella is currently an assistant here and is currently in school to become a Veterinary Technician. There is nothing she loves more than animals and working with them is her calling in life! Outside of work she enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing and camping. She has a 2 year old Golden Retriever named Brody, and is obsessed with Goldens and anything to do with them!

Amanda has been an assistant since 2008. She recently joined Tri-Town after enjoying a few years off with her family. She has two children (9 and 6) and 1 dog, an 11 year old  Pit Bull named Modest. She grew up on the West Coast and moved to Buffalo in 2006 where she met her husband. Amanda enjoys traveling with her family and is an avid gardener.

Danna has been in the animal industry since 2017, but has been with Tri-Town since 2019. She loved Boxers and currently owns one named Nala. Outside of work she enjoys spending time cycling or kayaking with her husband, spending time with her family and walking Nala.

Jessica joined Tri-Town as a receptionist in 2021. She previously worked in the medical field but decided to join the veterinary field because of her love for animals. She loves bulldogs and anything to do with them and currently has two, an Old English Bulldog Riley and an English Bulldog Milton. She is passionate about spreading information about responsible breeding due to her pet Milton being born with a cleft palate and heart defect. She currently resides in Orchard Park with her husband and two sons. In her spare time she loves to spend with her family and her granddaughter and going to Bills games.

Shannon joined the practice as our Practice Manager in 2022. She’s been working in the Veterinary field for 7 years in various roles. She is currently working on getting her license to be a technician as well. She is a Rochester native, but went to college here in Buffalo and has lived here on and off since. She has three dogs, a Puggle named Bailey, a Labrador mix named Hamlet and a Golden Retriever named Molly, and a cat named Nox. In her spare time she is an avid reader, loves going on local adventures with her son, and loves to travel.
